has grown and become more focused we are finding that we are struggling to keep things moving. There are always financial struggles. Just like any activity out there, it requires a certain amount of money to keep things going. We really do not want to be another organization begging for money and so we have tried not to ask anyone for donations. It is always very meaningful when people help with this effort of their own volition. We pray a lot for provision and God has provided at times when there seemed to be no hope of moving forward. We are not at this time supported by any organization... It is funded purely by small individual contributions, and by work that we do when we are able to find it while in the U.S. There is a delicate balance between asking for help and letting others in on the needs that exist. Many people have asked us what kinds of needs we have, so we are posting this page to let folks know the kinds of needs that are a reality every day. Some are small things, others larger. Our only building is a 8 x 20 camper so we don't have a lot of overhead ... Just lp gas, generator gas, and repairs to the camper. But there are many supplies essential to what we do. And there are many expenses associated with travelling such as tires, van repairs, gasoline, visas, etc. If you feel that you are able to help and would like to support what we do please see the Help With Expenses Page. Thank yuu so much. We are so encouraged by your support.
We hope to start 2 groups this year... So we will need about 10 violins. Each violin is about $80.
Telephone time to call orchestra students via Skype... We average about $30 a week.

New Marine Battery & Charger for the camper's electrical system... Estimated cost $ 150. They are both 4 years old.
Bible story books from Mt Zion Literature for children in Guatemala and Mexico... Estimated Cost - $150
Gasoline for travel to areas in Mexico and Guatemala. It takes about $800 one way for all travel expenses to Guatemala from the U.S.

Photo Paper Copier Paper printer ink AA Batteries for Camera Blank cds for study cds cd sleeves AAA Batteries for mp3-players students use
Student Violins Rosin Bows Strings Bridges Bowhair Music

Button Making Blanks T shirt Transfer Paper

We use small battery operated mp3 players for some of the students to practice their music lessons with. Each one costs about $30.

The Honda Generator costs $1000 new. We have had this one since we began our work in 2001 and it has become unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. We need it to recharge our battery and for electrical emergencies.
Below is the most current list of needs that we are hoping to fill before we leave on our trip to Guatemala the first part of 2011. We will be working in the U.S for the remainder of November and plan to stop over in Monterrey and possibly again in Gomez Palacio, Mexico for several weeks before departing. Many things on our camper and van need repair before we leave again. Once we are out of the U.S. many of these things are hard to find or can be much more expensive.
