Domingo is a gentleman that came
to us two years ago with his arm
trembling.  He wanted to know if
there was anything we could do to
help him.   After numerous blood
test, phone calls, and doctor visits it
has been concluded that he has
some form of Parkinson’s
Disease…..though it  appears that
in this case it seems to run in the
family.  After Domingo's father
began his first symptoms he
gradually worsened and died 10
years later.  According to our
information Selegeline offers the
best hope to young Parkinson's
patients to slow the progress of the
disease,….but the medication is
very expensive.  We are currently
looking into other medications that
offer some hope but there are no
clear answers.  If you know of a
young Parkinson’s patient that has
had personal experience with
Selegeline or other Parkinson’s
medications please let us know.
Much of Domingo's family income
is used to keep up with their
medication costs.  Domingo does
not use alcohol and works very
hard with his children in the fields.
One of his sons is showing early
signs of having the same problems.
He is only 17 years old.  We have a
lot of respect for their family and
have been trying to find solutions
for them.  Please pray for them. We
would welcome any information on
this disease.
